Manfred Paul Weinberger
trumpet player/composer

Born in 1970 in Steyr/Austria, after training as a craftsman studied music at the Bruckner Conservatory Linz with Ingrid Jensen and at the Royal Conservatory of Den Haag with Ack van Rooyen. In 1997 and 2001 scholarships at the “Banff Centre for the Arts” in Banff/Canada. Between 2002 and 2006 trips to Pune, India to study with Kathak dance master Shama Bhate at the Nad Roop Institute. Numerous concerts and festival performances with, among others, the Vancouver Jazz Orchester Project 2000, Upper Austrian Jazz Orchestra, Austria meets Canada I to V, Kenny Wheeler, Don Thompson, Shama Bhate, Karl Ratzers “Heat the Beat”, Allen Praskin, Hugh Fraser, Arnie Chycoski, Ingrid Jensen, Peter O‘Mara, Michael Gibbs, Slide Hampton, Mike Stern,

Holds a teaching position in the organization of music schools of Upper Austria, conducts jazz workshops and training programs …
